How to Request Decryption in Linux Encrypted Client with AnySecura | User Guide

This guide will show you how to use the AnySecura Linux Encrypted Client to securely request access to your protected files. You'll learn the simple process of selecting encrypted items and formally submitting a decryption request to your administrator.

Understanding this workflow ensures you can efficiently regain access to your data once approval is granted, highlighting the collaborative security model of the AnySecura platform. We'll also cover important considerations, such as the requirement for an online connection to initiate these requests.

Clients without decryption permission can select one or more encrypted files from the scan results, right-click, and choose "Request Decryption". Enter a reason and submit. When the client is online, the console receives the request immediately for approval. Once approved, go to "View Request Information" and select "Complete Request" to decrypt the files.

On Linux systems without a GUI, decryption requests cannot be submitted.

Note:

  • The Linux encryption client currently does not support offline decryption requests.
